Dates for the diary:

  • Pooch Mooch - 12th May
  • Gala Day and Fun Dog Show - 14th July

Block Fen updates

Firstly let us start by telling you how many animals we successfully re-homed in 2012. Dogs 230, Cats 222, Rabbits 97, Guinea Pigs 98 and other small animals 97. This is a total of 744 animals adopted from Block Fen.

We had a good year for fundraising events in 2012, and 2013 is also packed with good reasons for you to come and visit the centre and to hopefully have a good day out. We would like to thank you all for the support you have given us in 2012 and we hope that this continues throughout 2013.

Block Fen Supporters Group

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our Supporters Group. We hold regular meetings to develop fundraising ideas to raise additional funds for the Centre. The group also runs the coffee shop on Sundays during the Spring/Summer months and on all main event days. The Supporters also run the Tombola.

We run a monthly raffle. Tickets cost £1, and the winning ticket is drawn at close of business on the last day in each month. The winner receives exactly half of all money collected, the remaining half going towards the care of the animals here at Block Fen. So far we have raised £159.50. Tickets can be bought at the reception desk.

If you would like more information on any of these topics please come in and see us. Open daily EXCEPT WEDNESDAYS. Times 11:00am - 3:30pm.

Volunteer details

Finally: We are delighted to announce that some of our very long stay dogs have now been re-homed. Domino, whom many of you may have seen in reception, had been in kennels for just over a year. He is now very settled in his new home. We also re-homed Dozer who is an older German Shepherd cross and he too has settled very nicely with his new family.
